APNC is thrilled to post another open position. The Substance Use Prevention Director will direct the Partnerships for Success (PFS) program, funded through SAMHSA, aims to achieve quantifiable declines in state-wide substance abuse rates. PFS programs are designed to address gaps in prevention services and increase the ability of states to assist high-need communities with serious, emerging substance abuse issues. PFS grant programs utilize SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) to address underage alcohol use, e-cigarette and marijuana use.
The Director will provide leadership overseeing the implementation of the PFS grant to advance the goals listed above. The Director will oversee PFS-funded coalitions and will collaborate with a broad array of agencies, organizations, and coalitions across the state to empower communities to utilize the SPF to plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based prevention strategies to prevent onset and reduce progression of underage alcohol use, e-cigarette and marijuana use.
