The rapid expansion and universal cultural acceptance of the media-glamorized commercial gambling industry has led to little to no awareness of the potential danger of problem gambling as an addiction. This training is designed for professionals who want to equip themselves with essential screening tools to effectively identify problem gambling behaviors. We will explore the history of gambling in North Carolina and uncover the hidden complexities of recognizing and treating gambling disorders.  Attendees will walk away with a greater understanding of problem gambling behaviors and gambling addiction. We will also explore why screening for problem gambling is crucial across diverse ages and life stages while  learning to apply quick-response screening tools effectively.
